Rotorua Lakes Council is urging cyclists and pedestrians to take care at the Utuhina Bridge.
A post on their Facebook page says be extra careful if you're taking a stroll or using the cycleway along Springfield/Pukehangi Road at the Utuhina Bridge.
A crash on Sunday damaged the bridge railing and safety fencing is now in place. Please stay back from the fence if you're in the area the post says.
It is unknown when the bridge railing will be permanently repaired.
