Due to a crash, State Highway 30 east of Lake Rotokawau Road, is blocked in both directions.

"Delay your journey until a lane can be reopened or consider an alternative route," says NZTA Waka Kotahi.

"Police responded to a two vehicle crash involving a truck on State Highway 30, Tikitere, Rotorua around 5:20am," says a police spokesperson.

"It appears one person has been transported to hospital in a moderate to serious condition.

"The road is blocked while a tow truck is enroute."
