Go the distance for Kiwi hearts: MyMarathon

You can do it on your own, or rally a team of friends, whānau or colleagues. Photo supplied.

Would you like to challenge yourself to stay active this autumn?

For most of us a marathon feels out of reach. But what if you could walk or run it over a whole month with friends, family or colleagues?

The Heart Foundation’s MyMarathon is your opportunity to do just that and help raise funds for life-saving heart disease research. The challenge is simple – walk, jog or run 42 km (or more) over hours, days or weeks during May.

MyMarathon is the fundraising race where you set the pace. Cover the distance at your leisure – this challenge is for everyone, no matter your fitness ability.

Whether you run it in a day, pound it out in a week or walk it in a month-long commitment to better health, the choice is yours.

What’s more, you can do it anywhere, from your local park or running track, treadmill or favourite beach. And you don’t have to stop at 42 km, you can challenge yourself to go as far as possible.

When you sign up to MyMarathon, you will be joining a passionate community working together to help save the lives of Kiwis with heart disease. Plus, there are plenty of prizes up for grabs when you hit specific fundraising goals!

We all know or love someone who has been impacted by heart disease. Now there’s something you can do to help.

Registration is free and now open for MyMarathon. Sign up today at mymarathon.co.nz.
