State Highway 26 was closed in both directions early this morning due to a vehicle crash.
Police were notified of a single-vehicle collision on Ngongotaha Rd at 2.53am.
The vehicle had collided with a power pole.
A road closure has been in place for a few hours.
NZTA advise that the southbound lane has now reopened. The northbound lane remains closed as part of long term road works.
It is unknown at this stage whether there were any injuries.
