People throughout the North Island are reporting feeling an earthquake near Taupo this morning.
Around 400 people have reported feeling the 2.8 magnitude quake.
GeoNet reports the earthquake hit 5km north of Taupo just after 9am.
It says the shaking was "weak" and it had a focal depth of 3km.
