8.30pm update: Both lanes are blocked on SH33 this evening due to a crash that occurred earlier.

Motorists are advised to expect delays.

A two-vehicle collision occured north of the SH33/SH30 intersection just after 7pm this evening.

Initial indications are that one person has been injured.

Earlier 8pm: Emergency services are responding to a two-vehicle collision near Tikitere, Rotorua.

Police were alerted to the crash at about 7.15pm on SH33 between Parkcliff Road and SH 30.

Both lanes are currently blocked.

Police are diverting traffic through Hamurana.
