A motorcyclist is in serious condition following a crash in the Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at 12.30am.
A police spokesperson says it was at the intersection of State Highway 30 and Kawerau West Road.
Police say only one vehicle was involved in the crash.
"The motorcycle reportedly collided with a barrier."
They say one person has been airlifted to Tauranga Hospital in serious condition.
Traffic restrictions that were in place following the crash have now been lifted.
Police are investigating the cause.
