One person is dead following a crash on State Highway 36, between Rotorua and Tauranga today.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Pyes Pa Road, near Oropi Road, at 6.05am.
Police have confirmed that one person is dead.
"Cordons are in place and the serious crash unit has been advised," says a police spokesperson.
