The NZ Transport Agency report that there has been a vehicle collision on State Highway 5 near Ngongotaha on Sunday afternoon.
The single vehicle crash happened around 2.30pm, on SH5 between Dansey Rd and Paradise Valley Rd.
Emergency services are at the scene and the road is blocked. It is unknown if there are any serious injuries.
Traffic diversions are in place, with motorists directed to go down Western Rd. Motorists are also advised to allow extra time for their journey or to avoid the area.
